Nancy S. Mueller is a multi-talented artist born and raised in the Chicago area. Nancy received a BFA in Fine & Applied Art/ Painting from University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, also studying Photography, Ceramics and Art Education. To help support her Art Career, she has been employed as a Professional Picture Framer for over 26 years. The subject matter of many of Nancy’s paintings and drawings are derived from her macro photography capturing the often overlooked beauty and abstraction of nature, human anatomy/physiology and organic objects. By focusing on, capturing and manipulating the minute textures, forms, distinctive shapes, accentuating the underlying power and natural energy of objects, Nancy brings a whole new dimension to her art. She is determined to create an image that will resonate and linger in the viewer’s memory. Her latest Internalscape series depicts a surrealistic network of animated interconnecting internal organic forms, cells, vein/artery-like shapes.
